Home
Learn a new skill or improve your technique on a painting holiday. Most companies offer mixed-level group tuition in interesting surroundings. And you will return home with a unique souvenir - or two.

Art Safari, which takes small groups to Africa, says an art holiday abroad will enrich your appreciation of the natural world and introduce you to the art and culture of another country.

Andalucian Adventures organises painting holidays in Europe. The company says its holidays are scheduled for the best weeks in terms of dryness and heat for the different locations. Adding that, ironically, guests often learn more during wet weeks than during dry ones.

World Spirit has an annual course in Kyoto, Japan. Bettina Schroeder teaches small groups in Morocco, Italy and the UK - see: www.art-holidays.com. And Paint in France has art and cookery classes in the Dordogne.

In Italy, Artemisia Holidays runs art courses at a family-run home in Tuscany, while Painting in Italy is based in Umbria.

The Castle of Park hotel in Scotland hosts a number of art courses with specialist tutors. For other art holidays and weekends in the UK, try Art Courses and British Arts.

For art appreciation tours, try Inscape Tours, Merion Cultural Tours and Art History Abroad.
