Is it a good or bad omen that we're in Mexico on November 2nd - the Day of the Dead?

Morbid. Macabre. Before I came here, the thought of it made the colour drain from my cheeks.

But children swapping sugar skulls on street corners. Homes with altars dedicated to the spirit of deceased members of the family. Dancing in the street.

Now I've seen it for myself, I think perhaps it's a good idea.
