If I learn to paint, perhaps I'll appreciate other people's artwork. That's it. My new resolution. I am going to draw as much as I can. Anything. Everything.

Sunday. A good day to start. The park's no good in this rain, though. I'll head for the shopping centre like everyone else. Some retail therapy might cheer me up. And if I take no money, there'll be no temptation.

Having humped this chair all the way on the bus, I'm going to make sure I stay put ALL DAY, scribbling shop windows, shopping trolleys, people grabbing a coffee, mothers laden with bags shouting at their kids.
