Here are 10 ways to spend an active afternoon in Prague:

  1. Wander around the Old Town or take a walking tour around the main sights with Prague Walks, a company that also offers a range of specialist walking tours.

  2. Jump on board the tourist train that leaves from the old town square every half hour. Adults €8. Under 12s free. For details see: www.ekoexpres.cz.

  3. Join a cruise along the Vltara river departing from the Rašínovo nábřeží wharf daily at 15.30. For details see: www.paroplavba.cz.

  4. Take a city tour. Try Cityrama or Best Tour.

  6. Visit the National Museum.
