Working on a Camps
International project for one to three months
is an interactive experience.
While you construct and refurbish classrooms for
children in Africa, you live on the same land as the school, so
you make friends with the children immediately, according to Michelle
Tutt.
As there is no television in the camps, everyone
has a great social life and returns home with lifelong friends,
she told London's Gap
Year Show.
In addition to building schools, you can be involved
in development of sports facilities, teaching, construction of
school equipment, such as desks, and wildlife conservation projects.
The camps are based in Kenya and Tanzania.
All placements include a three-day safari,
and can be combined with a climb of Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya or
Mount Meru, and/or a PADI scuba diving course. |
