The British International Spa Association says it has updated and improved its BISA Waves international spa accreditation system.

The association wants to establish a mark of quality standards based on overall customer experience and recognised across borders. Spas that have delivered dependable service over an extended period will be endorsed by the BISA 'wave' logo.

An online directory of spas - www.thespasdirectory.com - provides a detailed profile of spas and whether a particular spa has BISA accreditation.
