Tom Kevill Davies, AKA the hungry cyclist, is pedalling from New York in the US to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil to raise funds for Macmillan cancer research.

Since June 2005, Kevill Davies has cycled across the US to San Francisco and is heading for Mexico, Cuba and Argentina.

The route is somewhat less than direct, because his 'gastronomic adventure' to find the 'perfect meal' means he is taking detours to find the best possible places to eat.
