In 2005, five explorers headed to the South Pole using exactly the same equipment as Robert Scott. Clothing and equipment had been made from scratch using early 20th Century techniques and materials.

The team claims such an expedition had never been undertaken before, and says it presented a completely different task to modern polar expeditions.
