First human-powered circumnavigation of the earth
Home

Colin Angus and Julie Wafaei claim to have completed the first human-powered circumnavigation of the earth.

The zero-emission journey, Expedition Canada, took 720 days.

Angus crossed 17 countries (43,000 km) by rowing boat, bicycle, canoe, ski, and foot.

Wafaei travelled with him for most of the expedition. She rowed 10,000 km unsupported across the Atlantic Ocean, which she says makes her the first woman to row across the Atlantic from mainland to mainland and the first Canadian woman to row across any ocean.
