Insect bites
Home

Avoid infested areas if possible, but if the midges do find you juicy, try some of the following to keep them at bay:

  • Wear loose or thicker clothing with long trousers and long sleeves.
  • Tuck your trousers into your socks.
  • Sleep under a mosquito net.
  • Use insect repellent with a high DEET (diethyltouamide) factor (apply repellent over sunscreen and reapply it at regular intervals). See Nathnac for guidance.
  • Natural alternatives include lemon, eucalyptus oil and tea tree oil.
  • Let the smell of dettol waft around the room.
Don't let the bugs bite
